Introducing On the Rodeo Road

Here at Usher Brand, we feel immensely proud to sponsor some of the best rodeo athletes in the world. We know how hard each one of them works throughout the year, and we understand how important quality gear is to their success. Four-time NFBR qualifier Taylor Munsell currently leads the 2025 Breakaway standings with over $150,000 won – and it’s only August! We caught up with Taylor to talk horsepower, her approach to staying consistent, and the Usher Brand gear that’s keeping her sharp in one of her most successful seasons yet.
On the Road and in the Saddle
Being on the road full-time, it’s important for Taylor to have a solid team of horses – and saddles made to fit each one perfectly.
“I’ve ridden three horses this year: Ray [17-year-old old palomino gelding], Colonel [13-year-old old sorrel gelding], and Monster [18-year-old old bay gelding]. All three have played a huge part in my career and getting me to where I am now,” she praises. “I have an Usher Brand saddle for each horse I rodeo on as well. Their saddles are well-made and fit my horses great, which is the most important thing.”
“The saddles are also built to fit me, helping keep me in the saddle across the line, but also allowing me to get to the front so I can rope quick,” she continues. “Usher Brand has been with me since the start of my PRCA career, and I can’t say enough good things about them. From making great saddles to being great people, I’m always thankful to have them in my corner.”
A Clear Focus for the Rest of 2025
With monumental wins like RodeoHouston and Reno under her belt, Taylor’s focus for the rest of 2025 is clear: control what she can and stay ready for every opportunity.
“My game plan has always been the same, do the best I can on what I got. You can’t control the draw or horses getting injured or rigs breaking down but you can control your attitude and mindset. I feel like this year is the best year I’ve had a handle on those things, making it a lot easier to win when the opportunities arise.”
