2025 WPRA World Champion & 2019 College National Finals Rodeo Champion

Taylor Munsell of Alva, Oklahoma, is one of the most accomplished competitors in professional breakaway roping. Since joining the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association in 2019, Taylor has built an impressive championship résumé defined by exceptional horsemanship, consistency, and determination.

Taylor first made her mark nationally by winning the 2019 College National Finals Rodeo Breakaway Roping Championship. She has since qualified for the National Finals Breakaway Roping five consecutive times from 2021 through 2025, finishing as the 2022 WPRA Reserve World Champion before capturing her first WPRA Breakaway Roping World Championship in 2025.

During her championship season, Taylor entered the National Finals wearing the prestigious No. 1 back number. After a challenging start, she delivered qualified runs throughout all five rounds on the second day and shared the victories in Rounds 6 and 10. She finished the season with $209,021 in earnings and the coveted WPRA World Championship gold buckle.

Taylor’s career accomplishments also include four Prairie Circuit year-end championships, more than $70,000 won at the 2024 Roping Futurities of America, and major victories at the Calgary Stampede, Reno Rodeo, Greeley Stampede, Woodward Elks Rodeo, Prairie Circuit Finals, and the NFR Open at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo.
